The Cumberland Presbyterian Church is a part of the Presbyterian and Reformed family of Churches.  It was the fruit of the great revival known as the Second Great Awakening that swept across the new nation around 1800.  It was officially founded in 1810.


     The Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Springfield was established in 1844.  Services have been held in at least six different locations, beginning with a log cabin.  The present building was dedicated on February 1, 1970.  A new addition was added in 2011.
